Description:

Hatha Yoga was traditionally used as an umbrella term for the physical practice of yoga.  Today it is used to describe a style of doing yoga that is in contrast to flow yoga styles,  in which physical alignment  is emphasized, poses held for longer periods of time, and modifications and props are used the customize the practice to the needs of the individual practitioner. There are many different styles of Hatha Yoga, with Iyengar Yoga perhaps being the most well known.
